Administering Emergency Oxygen with BLS (Level 3 RQF)

This Level 3 Administering Emergency Oxygen qualification provides First Aiders with the additional skills necessary to safely administer medical oxygen in an emergency.

This half day course is perfect for first aiders working in high-risk environments where emergency oxygen may be required; including doctors, dentists, care homes, fire stations, airports and industries where there is a risk of dangerous fume inhalation.

Delegates will learn about the clinical need for emergency oxygen, the safety considerations of using medical gases, and how to administer emergency oxygen when dealing with a range of conditions.

Please Note: Appropriate clinical governance must be in place to obtain, store or administer oxygen.

Before they can register on to this qualification, learners must have:

  • ●  Successfully completed a minimum of a Level 3 First Aid at Work (QCF or RQF) (FAW) or higher level first aid/emergency care qualification or QA recognised equivalent, and

  • ● Knowledge/awareness of an automated external defibrillator (AED) if it wasn’t incorporated into the First Aid qualification undertaken.
