Over the past decade, our team of expert instructors have helped First on Scene establish a reputation as one of the UK’s leading first aid training providers. As a company established and run by experienced paramedics, we feel we are the natural choice for people requiring a First Aid ‘Train the Trainer’ course.
We offer a choice of two first aid instructor courses that are based on the potential first aid instructors previous teaching experience.

Attending this course is the ideal way for you to become a First Aid Instructor, especially with the move towards nationally recognised teaching qualifications in the adult education sector.
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) is now the minimum requirement for instructors delivering training to adults in colleges or in any situation where a course attracts public funding. A number of recognised awarding bodies now use PTLLS as a minimum instructor standard for delivering their qualifications.
Our 3 day First Aid Instructor and Assessor Fast Track Course has been specifically designed for experienced teachers and trainers who want to become a qualified First Aid Instructor and Assessor. The course is ideal for those who already hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PTLLS, CIEH train the trainer, C&G 7303, CertEd, etc.) and wish to gain skills and knowledge specific to first aid training. Successful delegates will be able to teach and assess the full range of HSE Approved First Aid courses*.
*After successfully completing either 'train the trainer' course, you will be able to teach HSE First Aid at Work and HSE Emergency First Aid at Work courses through an approved body. To make this as easy as possible, we have arranged FREE centre registration (worth £195) with Qualsafe Awards – a HSE and OFQUAL recognised awarding body with over 300 centres in the UK .
First on Scene is an approved learning provider for the Ministry of Defence's Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme and we are happy to assist any MOD applicants wishing to access ECL funding for First Aid Instructor Training Courses. Ex service personnel may submit a claim to attend First Aid Instructor Training up to 10 years after they leave the service.
