Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (Level 2 RQF)

This half day course is designed to provide comprehensive CPR & AED training to those who may need to respond to emergency situations.

When a casualty’s heart stops beating, studies have shown a dramatic increase in survival rates when high quality CPR is combined with a shock from a defibrillator.

This in-depth course focuses on how to use a defibrillator and how to combine this with effective CPR to ensure minimal interruptions. Covering a wide range of AED skills, successful learners will leave the course with the skills and confidence needed to save a life in an emergency.

Bolt-on option:

This Ofqual regulated qualification can be achieved in a reduced time frame when combined with other First on Scene courses that contain CPR/BLS skills.

Please note: This course is ideal for those updating their BLS/AED skills and for those training to provide additional support to first aiders in their organisation. It should however be noted that without further training this qualification alone does not fulfil the HSE requirements to act as a workplace first aider.
