Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (Level 2 RQF)

This half day Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis course covers all of the essential first aid skills necessary to provide basic life support in an emergency situation, with a specific focus on providing assistance to someone in anaphylactic shock.

Delegates will leave with the confidence and skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and effectively manage a reaction until professional help arrives, including using an adrenaline auto-injector.

  • Chain of survival
    Assessing an incident
    Managing an unresponsive casualty (including CPR and the use of defibrillators on adults, children and babies)
    Managing a responsive casualty (including monitoring the airway and the recovery position)
    Common anaphylaxis triggers
    ● Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
    Treatment and medication
    Adrenaline auto-injectors

Bolt-on Option:
