First Aid at Work Training Course –
Re-qualification
(HSE Approved)
This Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved 2 day course is only available to First Aiders at Work, who wish to renew their First Aid at Work certificate. Attending a First On Scene 2 day re-qualifying course means that your First Aiders will renew their skills with new first aid procedures and techniques with training direct from the experts.
Please Note: It is a HSE requirement that all requalifying First Aiders are in possession of a First Aid at Work certificate that has not expired by more that 28 days. This must have been issued by a HSE approved training provider and should be shown to the instructor at the start of the course.
The course has a high level of practical skill and theoretical knowledge, so the First Aider can continue to deal promptly and effectively with a wide range of situations that may arise in the work environment.
First Aiders can attend this course up to three months prior to their certificate expiry date but not more than 28 days after the expiry date.
Assessment and Certification
All students will undertake a formal assessment on completion of the course.
First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years and First on Scene Training will send an automatic reminder to both the customer and First Aider three months prior to the expiry date of the certificate. Certificates can be renewed again by attending a 2 day First Aid at Work Re-qualifying course, up to three months prior to the certificate expiry date, but not more than 28 days after the expiry date.
The HSE recommend that all first aiders at work attend a 3 hour First Aid Refresher course annually, to ensure that they are up to date with procedures and to reduce the level of “first aid skill fade”.
